Remember Torchlight<\/em>? Yes, that nifty little Diablo-esque action RPG we reviewed<\/a>. Well, one Steam sale<\/a> notwithstanding, Torchlight<\/em> has captured another Weekend Sale on Steam<\/a> at $5.00. Not wanting to be left behind, GamersGate has put up the game on sale<\/a> for $4.95 \u2013 5 cents less. There are the residual advantages and disadvantages of the two, but I\u2019d recommend everyone to go for the Steam version \u2013 because it has achievements, no DRM and, well, it\u2019s Steam.<\/p>\n

The game is an action RPG that takes the better parts of the Diablo<\/em> series and crafts it with colorful visuals, outstanding sound and an expansive and deep dungeon world. Though most of it is<\/em> mundane mouse-clicking, it attacks the player\u2019s \u201cjust a minute more\u201d weakness and thus is very<\/em> addictive. The game always puts up a new item which on closer inspection is actually a small modification of the original \u2013 but you buy it anyway. This is a great game for action-RPG lovers, and the price is just right. Go ahead and buy it!<\/p>\n
