Lourdes Leon’s getting her big break: Madonna has cast her oldest daughter in the period piece she’s directing about Britain’s King Edward VIII and his romance with American divorcee Wallis Simpson, The Sun<\/em> reported Saturday.<\/p>\n

Madonna is set to start shooting the movie, entitled W.E.<\/em>, in London this summer. Scottish actor Ewan Mcgregor has reportedly been roped in to play the British monarch, and Madge reportedly also wants her daughter Lourdes, 13, to take part in the film.<\/p>\n

“She’s arranged a small role for Lourdes,”<\/em> an insider allegedly snitched to reporters. “It’s not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business. Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry, and her mum is more than happy to help.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The spy added, “She’s already an incredible dancer, thanks to years of classes, and she’s also been having singing training.”<\/em><\/p>\n

It is a change of heart for the Material Mom, who in 2007 refused to let Lourdes star in a Harry Potter<\/em> film after she was offered a role. Madge also snubbed an offer to have her lookalike daughter appear alongside Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning in 2008’s The Secret Lives of Bees<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Last summer, The Queen of Pop’s daughter made an appearance in the video for her mother\u2019s dance single, “Celebration.”<\/p>\n
