New data show the U.K. GDP shrinking by 0.3 percent in the third quarter, less than last month&#8217;s estimate of 0.4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Not much, but it&#8217;s welcome news.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.businessinsider.com\/~~\/f?id=4b0d44d90000000000e43193\" border=\"0\" alt=\"UK GDP3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Among the sectors showing third quarter improvement was the service industry, which shrank by 0.1 percent compared to a fall of 0.6 percent in the second quarter.
