\n> City of L.A. CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM NOW RECRUITING!
\n> Please contact Crisis Response Team

\n> You will need to fill out an application and be approved thru the screening
\n> process.
\n>
\n> Starting April 13 thru June 3, 2010 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings,
\n> 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the L.A. Police Academy,in Westchester (LAX).
\n>
\n> Crisis Response Team (CRT) members are community volunteers who respond
\n> to traumatic incidents and provide immediate on-scene crisis intervention to victims and their families affected by a death, a
\n> violent crime or other traumatic incidents. These include homicides,
\n> suicides, serious traffic accidents, natural deaths and multi-casualty
\n> incidents.
\n>
\n> The CRT program is managed by the Mayor’s Office of Homeland Security & Public Safety.
\n>
\n> Topics Include:
\n>
\n> *Police & Fire on Scene Protocol w\/ Police Detectives & Fire Personnel.
\n>
\n> *Hospital Emergency Rooms Environment w\/ E.R. Social Workers.
\n>
\n> *Victims of Crime Programs with City & County Victim Assistance Programs and the County Coroner.
\n>
\n> *Suicide Aftermath Support w\/ Suicide Prevention Center.
\n>
\n> *The Grief Process in Adults and Children w\/County Dept. Mental & LAUSD
\n> Mental Health
\n> – Traumatization & Crisis Intervention Principles and Skills.
\n>
\n> *Skillful Listening & Sacred Silence w\/ Skilled Experts.
\n>
\n> *Diverse Populations: Working with the Elderly and People with Disabilities.
\n>
\n> *Cultural & Religious Diversity.
\n>
\n> *Taking Care of Yourself\/Secondary Traumatization w\/ CRT Mental Health.
\n>
