{"id":484842,"date":"2010-03-29T09:20:36","date_gmt":"2010-03-29T13:20:36","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c5fcf53ef01310ff3c335970c"},"modified":"2010-03-29T09:20:36","modified_gmt":"2010-03-29T13:20:36","slug":"public%e2%80%99s-help-needed-to-identify-suspects-wanted-for-injuring-three-people-and-killing-young-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/484842","title":{"rendered":"Public\u2019s Help Needed to Identify Suspect(s) Wanted for Injuring Three People and Killing Young Woman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Los Angeles:<\/span>\u00a0 On March 23, 2010, at around 10:00 p.m.,<br \/>\nofficers working Foothill Patrol and the Gang Enforcement Detail<br \/>\nresponded to a radio call of an \u201cADW shooting in progress\u201d\u00a0 in the area<br \/>\nof Pala Avenue and Pinney Street\u00a0 in Pacoima. <\/p>\n<p>\nWhen the officers and Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire<br \/>\nDepartment arrived, they met four victims suffering gunshot wounds.\u00a0 The<br \/>\n paramedics transported the victims to local hospitals where they were<br \/>\ntreated for their injuries.\u00a0\u00a0 On the night of the shooting, one victim<br \/>\nwas listed in stable condition, two were listed in critical condition<br \/>\nand on Wednesday, March 24, at around 3:55p.m., Vanessa Rankins, a<br \/>\n21year-old female who lived in Pacoima, died as a result of her<br \/>\ninjuries.<\/p>\n<p>\nTo date, the investigating detectives have determined that an unknown<br \/>\nnumber of male Hispanic suspects approached a group of people in the<br \/>\n13000 block of Pinney Ave.\u00a0 The unknown suspect(s) shot multiple rounds<br \/>\nin the direction of the victims, striking them.\u00a0 The motive for the<br \/>\nshooting is unknown and the weapon is still outstanding.\u00a0 It is also<br \/>\nunknown if the shooting is gang related. <\/p>\n<p>\nAnyone with information is encouraged to contact Foothill Area<br \/>\nDetectives Jones and Farell at 818-834-3115.\u00a0 During non-business hours<br \/>\nor on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.\u00a0 Anyone<br \/>\nwishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS<br \/>\n(800-222-8477).\u00a0 Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to<br \/>\nphone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.
