La comisaria de la muestra, Agathe Mathiaut-Legros; el presidente de la Diputaci\u00f3n, Jos\u00e9 Joaqu\u00edn Ripoll, y el gerente de la Fundaci\u00f3n CajaMurcia, Pascual Mart\u00ednez, observan algunas piezas.<\/p>\n<p>Lejos de ser un final, para los egipcios la muerte no era m\u00e1s que el principio de un camino hacia el m\u00e1s all\u00e1, el trayecto hacia otro mundo que supon\u00eda el reflejo idealizado de su vida terrenal. Esta reflexi\u00f3n da una idea de por qu\u00e9 esta cultura daba tanta importancia a los enterramientos, por qu\u00e9 surgi\u00f3 en esa civilizaci\u00f3n la t\u00e9cnica de embalsamar los cuerpos y por qu\u00e9 el engalanamiento y el lujo en sus muertos era s\u00edmbolo de poder.<\/p>\n<p>Muchas respuestas a estas preguntas son las que ofrece la exposici\u00f3n El enigma de la momia, que se inaugur\u00f3 ayer en el Museo Arqueol\u00f3gico de Alicante (MARQ) para abrir las puertas al mundo egipcio con una muestra \u00fanica, que incluye 250 piezas, procedentes principalmente del Museo de Louvre y del de Be\u00e7anson.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">A line up of treasures make up the new exhibition, The Enigma of the Mummy including the outer sarcophagus and the mummy of Seramon, preserved just as he was when discovered in Luxor.   Far from being the final stage in life, for the Egyptians death was just the first step in a journey to a far more distant place which was an idealized version of life as it had been lived. The unique display includes 250 items loaned principally from the Louvre and the Be\u00e7anson in France.
