Norwegian based electric-car company Think announced today that it plans on bringing its Think City electric-car to customers in New York City. New York ranked third in THINK’s EV-Ready Cities Index based on the great fit EV’s have for city driving and the strength of the state and local governments support. Los Angeles came in at No. 1.<\/p>\n
“Bringing the THINK City to New York will play a positive role in PlaNYC, the city’s comprehensive sustainability plan that seeks to reduce the City’s greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent from 2005 level by 2030,” Think said in a statement. “The Think City, all electric vehicle provides excellent opportunities for both city fleets and private vehicles operating within the City’s borders.”<\/p>\n
Separately, Think announced a significant investment in a brand new, state-of-the-art product development facility at its corporate headquarters in Fornebu, Oslo, Norway.<\/p>\n
The Think City electric will have a top speed of more than 70 miles per hour and a range of more than 100 miles per full charge.<\/p>\n
