These leaked pics of the new Mercedes R-Class<\/a> show a significantly redesigned front end sporting a new bonnet, larger grille in ‘wide-screen’ style, new bumper and modified lights which include the new foglight design and changes to the indicators. It’s a less angular design overall that fits in with other models in the Mercedes family.<\/p>\n

The R-Class rear generally remains unchanged apart from new look tailights and bumper, and a squared off exhaust. The interior is pretty much as it ever was but with a few new Mercedes technology touches. The steering wheel, in a new design, gets air conditioning controls and we can also expect an AMG sports interior with different seats, steering wheel paddles and stainless steel pedals.<\/p>\n

The new Mercedes R-Class will be presented at the upcoming New York auto show, where we should get more details, including news on the engine range. In the meantime, the guys at Autoblog<\/a> are betting on the standard V6 line-up of petrol and diesel.<\/p>\n
