{"id":489515,"date":"2010-03-30T11:28:33","date_gmt":"2010-03-30T15:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f80\/pedestrian-killed-hit-run-driver-41580\/"},"modified":"2010-03-30T11:28:33","modified_gmt":"2010-03-30T15:28:33","slug":"pedestrian-killed-by-hit-and-run-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/489515","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run Driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>03.30.10 06:42 AM<br \/>\n<b><i>Los Angeles:<\/i><\/b>&#0160; The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is requesting the public\u0092s help to identify and locate a suspect responsible for a hit-and-run traffic incident that killed a 59-year-old male pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p>Just after 3 a.m. this morning, a pedestrian was crossing mid-block Alameda Street, south of 8th Street when he was struck by a vehicle heading northbound on Alameda Street.&#0160; The driver continued driving north on Alameda Street, failing to stop and identify herself or provide aid to the injured victims.&#0160; The victim died as a result of his injuries from the collision and was pronounced dead at scene.&#0160; The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family members.&#0160;&#0160; &#0160;<\/p>\n<p>The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a dark colored, possible Nissan sedan. It may also have collision damage to the front of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Central Traffic Division Detective Jose De Leon at 213-972-1845.&#0160; During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.&#0160; Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).&#0160; Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.
