yet it may turn out to be <a title=\"eon.businesswire.com\" href=\"http:\/\/eon.businesswire.com\/portal\/site\/eon\/permalink\/?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20100326005864&amp;newsLang=en\" >the biofuel of choice for U.S. military aircraft<\/a>.\u00a0 The U.S. Air Force has just announced the successful flight of an <a title=\"A-10 Thunderbolt II on wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A-10_Thunderbolt_II\" >A-10C Thunderbolt II<\/a> using a blend of half camelina and half conventional jet fuel, and it plans to test the blend on additional aircraft over the next couple of years.\u00a0 Meanwhile, <a title=\"cleantechnica.com article\" href=\"http:\/\/cleantechnica.com\/2009\/09\/13\/us-navy-super-hornet-has-camelina-biofuel-in-its-sights\/\" >the U.S. Navy has also set its sights on camelina-based jet fuel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Weed though it may be, camelina has also been cultivated as an oilseed crop for centuries and therein lies its charm, sustainably speaking.\u00a0 Camelina been championed by a number of biofuel companies including <a title=\"Sustainable Oils website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.susoils.com\/\" >Sustainable Oils<\/a>, which has supplied camelina biofuel for both the Air Force and the Navy test runs.\u00a0 The company may soon have company;
