{"id":49793,"date":"2009-11-26T22:28:27","date_gmt":"2009-11-27T03:28:27","guid":{"rendered":"2064"},"modified":"2009-11-26T22:28:27","modified_gmt":"2009-11-27T03:28:27","slug":"artists-inspired-by-graffiti-street-art-display-work-at-cbc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/49793","title":{"rendered":"Artists inspired by graffiti, street art display work at CBC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P><SPAN class=heading3>Aired Nov. 2, 2009 6:01 PM<BR><\/SPAN>By Josh Peterson, KVEW TV Reporter<BR>&nbsp;<BR>PASCO &#8212; For the past week, Warren Dykeman has been putting together his latest and largest piece of graphic art, and today, he&#8217;s putting on the finishing touches.<\/P><P>The 42 year old is one of seven contemporary artists displaying their work at Columbia Basin College this month.<\/P><P>But they aren&#8217;t your typical artists, many are inspired by graffiti and street art.<\/P><P>&#8220;Mainly, I&#8217;m just collaging images from different sources and then I try to build this composition,&#8221; said Dykeman.<\/P><P>The new artwork is unique to the college and the community, as the pieces create a window into an out-of-the-box world of art that students can relate to.<\/P><P>&#8220;It&#8217;s what we see everyday.
