Huang wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seattle-based venture firm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maveron.com\">Maveron<\/a> announced today it has invested in a $1.25 million financing round for Latimer Education, a company based in Washington, DC, that is developing an online university focused on African-American students. Angel investors and the company&#8217;s founders also participated in the round. Jason Stoffer and Amy Errett from Maveron are joining Latimer&#8217;s board.
