(That&#8217;s the latitude <del>longitude<\/del> line that established the division of Korea.)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got an article (<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/c0VOci\">How AQ Khan Helped Distort America&#8217;s <span class=\"caps\">DPRK<\/span> Policy<\/a>) that applies the themes I described in my  post, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.armscontrolwonk.com\/2663\/leaks-and-motives-of-aq-khan\">Leaks and Motives of AQ Khan<\/a>, and applies them to North Korea.  (See also Josh Pollack&#8217;s post, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.armscontrolwonk.com\/2671\/the-media-the-generals-and-the-passion-of-aq-khan\">The Media, Generals, &#38; Passion of AQ Khan<\/a>). <\/p>\n<p>Ah, more winning friends and influencing people. <\/p>\n<p>But what is spectacular about 38 North is that James Church is a contributor.  Church is the pseudonym of the author of the fabulous <a href=\"http:\/\/us.macmillan.com\/series\/InspectorONovels\">Inspector O novels<\/a>.  Church has a <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/9FfEMc\">post<\/a> on Six Party Talks that contains this exchange:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We were both quiet for a few moments. Finally, O broke the silence. \u201cWhy are you stuck in the mud again?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMe?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know what I mean. Your people are hip deep in a swamp of their own making. We only have to wait until November.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou on the <span class=\"caps\">RNC<\/span> mailing list or something?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, but I watch Wolf News.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFox. And you do?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Propaganda and Agitation Department has started using it as a teaching tool, part of our new opening policy.
