He was awarded a $750 scholarship from the National Education Loan Association (NELA). Vickoren also is one of only 50 students nationwide to win the Coca Cola gold medal scholarship. The scholarship is worth $1,500. He also won a $250 scholarship from the Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU). He\u0092ll be attending Washington State University in Pullman in the fall and wants to become a college history professor.<\/P><P>Castro is an 18-year-old Running Start student from Mesa with a 3.92 GPA. She too was awarded a $750 scholarship from NELA. Castro wants to become a counselor to motivate students toward a college education. She\u0092ll graduate from Connell High School as the salutatorian, and then graduate with her AA degree from CBC two weeks later.
