We encourage everyone to join us in our efforts to nurture, conserve, and care for the natural resources and life of Earth,&#8221; the magazine&#8217;s editors said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The Earth Society Foundation was started by John McConnell and Margaret Mead in 1970, the same year that Earth Day began.
