He walked back and forth at<br \/>\ntwo crosswalks, one lighted and marked, the other not. All the while<br \/>\nofficers cited drivers who failed to yield, while giving them a rundown<br \/>\nof pedestrian safety rules.<br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI<br \/>\nam happy to hear that they modified the sting and agreed that the idea<br \/>\nof a giant rabbit \u2014 a total anomaly out in the roadway \u2014 is not exactly<br \/>\ntraining our drivers to learn really anything,\u201d Councilman John Drayman said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>The<br \/>\ncity was reevaluating the use of costumes as decoys, although they have<br \/>\nnot been uncommon at previous pedestrian enforcement campaigns, city<br \/>\nspokesman Ritch Wells said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glendalenewspress.com\/articles\/2010\/04\/02\/publicsafety\/gnp-operation040210.art.txt\">Read the full story here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212; Veronica Rocha<\/p>\n<p>Photo: A car does not stop for a Glendale police officer dressed in a rabbit<br \/>\ncostume crossing the street at Central and Garfield in Glendale on<br \/>\nWednesday.
