In February, Murray was charged with manslaughter in connection with the June 25 overdose death of the King of Pop. He could face up to four years in prison if convicted.<\/p>\n

Multiple sources familiar with Murray’s attorneys’ strategy told TMZ.com Sunday that the defense will argue that Murray gave Jackson a lethal 25 mg portion of the anesthetic to help him sleep, but when Murray briefly stepped out of the room to use the restroom, the sleep-deprived and frustrated Jackson self-injected the remaining contents of the bottle through an IV — sunsequently causing a massive overdose that stopped his heart.<\/p>\n

Murray claims he returned to the room after about two minutes and saw the “Human Nature” singer with his eyes open and pupils dilated, prompting the doctor to begin CPR.<\/p>\n
