{"id":518178,"date":"2010-04-06T16:30:37","date_gmt":"2010-04-06T20:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c5fcf53ef01347fb10bb4970c"},"modified":"2010-04-06T16:30:37","modified_gmt":"2010-04-06T20:30:37","slug":"robbery-at-los-angeles-landmark-%e2%80%9cpinks-hot-dogs%e2%80%9d","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/518178","title":{"rendered":"Robbery at Los Angeles Landmark \u201cPinks Hot Dogs\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong class=\"bodytextLARGE\"><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Los Angeles:<\/span><br \/>\nThe Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Area detectives are asking<br \/>\nfor the public\u2019s help in finding a suspect who robbed Pink\u2019s Hot Dogs<br \/>\nearly this morning.<\/p>\n<p>\nOn April 5, 2010, at around 3 a.m., Wilshire officers received a radio<br \/>\ncall to investigate a robbery in the 700 block of North La Brea<br \/>\nBoulevard.\u00a0 Two employees were closing the business and walking out the<br \/>\nrear door when they saw a male suspect crouched behind a chair in the<br \/>\nrear patio area.\u00a0 The suspect immediately stood up from behind the<br \/>\nchair and approached them with a silver handgun, ordered them to open<br \/>\nthe door to the business and allow him entry. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nThe suspect then forced the employees to lead him to the safe.\u00a0 Once at<br \/>\nthe safe, the employees told the suspect that they did not know the<br \/>\ncombination.\u00a0 The suspect demanded money from the employees, and one of<br \/>\nthe employees handed the suspect a twenty dollar bill. The suspect then<br \/>\ntold the employees not to move or he would shoot them and left the<br \/>\nbusiness.\u00a0 The employees were not able to see if the suspect left on<br \/>\nfoot or in a car.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe suspect is described as an African American, approximately 5 feet 8<br \/>\ninches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and about 30 years-old.\u00a0 He was<br \/>\nwearing a black jacket, black jeans, and a gray ski cap with<br \/>\nhandkerchief over his face.<\/p>\n<p>\nAnyone with information about this crime is asked to call Wilshire Area<br \/>\nRobbery Detectives at 213-473-0154.\u00a0 During non-business hours or on<br \/>\nweekends, calls should be directed to 877-LAPD-24-7.\u00a0\u00a0 Anyone wishing<br \/>\nto remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS<br \/>\n(800-222-8477).\u00a0 Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to<br \/>\nphone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.\u00a0<br \/>\nAll text messages should begin with the letters \u201cLAPD.\u201d Tipsters may<br \/>\nalso go to LAPDOnline.org, click on &quot;webtips&quot; and follow the prompts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Area detectives are asking for the public\u2019s help in finding a suspect who robbed Pink\u2019s Hot Dogs early this morning.
