The trip was a little bit last minute, but there is no such thing as a bad time for a trip to Hawaii as far as I&#8217;m concerned. I didn&#8217;t do any posting about the trip while I was away. I did, however, do a lot of relaxing, sightseeing and &#8211; of course &#8211; eating while I was out there and have plenty of posts on some great foodie spots on the island to catch up on in the next couple of days. First, however, I can&#8217;t resist sharing a couple of snapshots of the island first.<\/p>\n<p>The above photo is of Hanalei Bay, on the North side of Kauai. Definitely a great photo spot and place to spend a relaxing afternoon watching people fish on the pier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakingbites.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/dsc_7957.JPG\" alt=\"Poipu Beach\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s impossible not to look at these blue waters and wish you were right there on the beach &#8211; especially since the water is warm all year round.
