{"id":518811,"date":"2010-04-07T04:30:48","date_gmt":"2010-04-07T08:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/?p=76913"},"modified":"2010-04-07T04:30:48","modified_gmt":"2010-04-07T08:30:48","slug":"they%e2%80%99re-here-they%e2%80%99re-beered-get-used-to-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/518811","title":{"rendered":"They\u2019re here, they\u2019re beered, get used to it"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recent polling on the &#8216;Teabagger&#8217; movement has been released and there are two things that are quite evident.<\/p>\n<p>First, the movement is made up primarily of Republicans and people who think  <a href=\"http:\/\/tbogg.firedoglake.com\/2010\/04\/05\/we-are-all-rock-ridge-now\/\">Jonah Goldberg is an intellectual<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class='wbq'>\n<p>A Sunday poll \u2014 actually three national phone surveys of 1,000 registered voters \u2014 found that 17% of all polled, or more than 500, called themselves \u201cpart of the Tea Party movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;The Tea Party adherents broke down 28% independent, 17% Democrat and only 57% Republican.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Zell Miller&#8217;s got a big family.<\/p>\n<p>Second, the movement is really unpopular with the public as a whole (ironically JUST as popular as <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2010\/04\/05\/socialism-vs-tea-parties\/\">&#8220;socialism&#8221;<\/a>).<a href=\"http:\/\/static1.firedoglake.com\/1\/files\/2010\/04\/500x_nascar_tattoo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium  wp-image-76919\" title=\"500x_nascar_tattoo\" src=\"http:\/\/static1.firedoglake.com\/1\/files\/2010\/04\/500x_nascar_tattoo-242x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"209\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class='wbq'>\n<p>&#8230;only 37% of Americans view Teabaggery favorably.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But enough with the statistics, like a good teabagger, allow me to summarize in pictures <a href=\"http:\/\/jalopnik.com\/5509904\/tattooed-nascar-lady-reinforces-sad-stereotypes\">rather than those commie &#8220;words&#8221;<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"akst_link\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/share-this\/share-icon-16x16.gif\" alt=\"Share This icon\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/?p=76913&amp;akst_action=share-this\"  title=\"Email, post to del.icio.us, etc.\" id=\"akst_link_76913\" class=\"akst_share_link\" rel=\"noindex nofollow\">&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recent polling on the &#8216;Teabagger&#8217; movement has been released and there are two things that are quite evident.
