As<br \/>\nthe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.councilofnonprofits.org\/news\/nonprofit-knowledge-matters\/nonprofit-knowledge-matters-nonprofits-and-2010-census\" >National Council of Nonprofits explains<\/a>,<br \/>\nfuture allocations for programs such as Head Start, SCHIP, and Section<br \/>\n8 housing will all be based on the 2010 Census data. Communities<br \/>\nshowing a decline in population will likely see an accompanying drop in<br \/>\nFederal funding.
