The original is made from solid pine but this could be just a sturdy (since Tobias can stand on top of it). If need some thing cheap to go with the tubs, which cost only $2 &#8211; $5, this may fit your budget.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve always been intrigued by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/30091414\" >Trofast plastic tub\/drawers<\/a>, but the $50 &#8211; $90 cabinets seemed a bit overpriced. So I knocked together a simple frame out of 1 x 12 to hold some of the drawers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile-photo\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_XGRz6uWGK3I\/S6nI4kASv5I\/AAAAAAAAHqU\/8jIeVHQz5Y0\/s1600\/tub_shelf-710057.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5452109697971830674\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_XGRz6uWGK3I\/S6nI4kASv5I\/AAAAAAAAHqU\/8jIeVHQz5Y0\/s640\/tub_shelf-710057.jpg\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nInstead of routing out tracks for the drawers to slide on like Ikea does (a nice design, but I don&#8217;t have a router), I cut strips of 1 x 2, which also reinforce the corners of the open frame. It&#8217;s screwed and glued with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Gorilla-Glue-50004-Adhesive-4-Ounces\/dp\/B0001GAYRC?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=ikeahacker-20&amp;link_code=btl&amp;camp=213689&amp;creative=392969\" >Gorilla glue<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" height=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=ikeahacker-20&amp;l=btl&amp;camp=213689&amp;creative=392969&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0001GAYRC\" style=\"border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important; padding: 0px ! important;\" width=\"1\" \/>, and I can stand on top of it.
