The mixed-use complex covers two lineal blocks in the heart of Downtown Phoenix and combines residential, office, retail, entertainment and public space with the total area of over 1,000,000 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>As for when\u00a0CityScape &#8220;opens,&#8221; the updated schedule is looking like this:<\/p>\n<p><strong>APRIL:<\/strong> Firms\u00a0will soon be\u00a0moving into the office tower at Central Avenue and Washington. Also, the construction team will complete an 80-foot long elevated pedestrian bridge crossing above Central and connecting to the new Patriots Square Park and CityScape&#8217;s retail by month&#8217;s end.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAY:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goldsgym.com\/\" >Gold&#8217;s Gym <\/a>to open.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JUNE:<\/strong> Landscaping of Patriots Square Park to be completed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JULY:<\/strong> Opening of hipster-friendly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanoutfitters.com\/urban\/index.jsp\" >Urban Outfitters <\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bowlluckystrike.com\/\" >Lucky Strike Bowling<\/a>, plus Designer District, CVS pharmacy, Republic of Couture and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.presscfw.com\/\" >Press Coffee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SEPTEMBER:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oakvillegrocery.com\/default.php\" >Oakville Grocery <\/a>to open.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOVEMBER\/DECEMBER:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downtownphoenixjournal.com\/2010\/03\/04\/aaron-may-devours-downtown\/\" >Chef Aaron May\u00a0<\/a>to open a noodle bar and small Taqueria, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lagrandeorangegrocery.com\/\" >La Grande Orange <\/a>owners to open Public House, plus <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebreakfastclub.us\/\" >The Breakfast Club <\/a>and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxrc.com\/\" >Sam Fox <\/a>chop house to make debuts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2011:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluburger.com\/\" >BluBurger Grille<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/cherryontop.net\/\" >Cherry on Top yogurt <\/a>to open.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Late 2011:<\/strong> 240-room <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kimptonhotels.com\/hotels\/hotel-palomars.aspx?WT.mc_n=KIMP_Google_Palomar&amp;WT.mc_t=2006_CORP_PPC&amp;WT.srch=1\" >Palomar<\/a> hotel to open.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Other answers:<\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downtownphoenix.com\/blog\/2010\/03\/her-secret-is-patience\/\" >\u00a0&#8221;Her\u00a0Secret Is Patience&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0is public art\u00a0and I happen to like\u00a0&#8221;her&#8221;\u00a0very much,\u00a0especially when lit up\u00a0at night.<\/p>\n<p><em>**<\/em>\u00a0I can&#8217;t get you seats to Lady GaGa, but if you become a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/downtownphoenix\" >Fan of Downtown Phoenix on Facebook <\/a>your chances at winning cool\u00a0stuff goes up exponentially<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/DowntownPhoenixBlog\/~4\/LDU3MqhxJhw\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When\u00a0folks\u00a0learn that I work for Downtown Phoenix one of three questions\u00a0follows without exception: 1) What&#8217;s with the glowing uterus in Civic Space Park? * 2) Can you get me free tickets to [fill in the blank]? ** 3) When does CityScape open?
