{"id":521805,"date":"2010-04-09T08:50:11","date_gmt":"2010-04-09T12:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/homes-will-lose-value-this-year-2010-4"},"modified":"2010-04-09T08:50:11","modified_gmt":"2010-04-09T12:50:11","slug":"why-your-home-will-lose-13-of-its-value-in-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/521805","title":{"rendered":"Why Your Home Will Lose 13% Of Its Value In 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(This is a guest post by Michael White, editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/newobservations.net\/2010\/04\/08\/new-observations-quarterly-forecast-of-property-values-estimates-a-loss-this-year-of-13-percent\/\">newobservations.net<\/a> and a mortgage broker.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The New Observations quarterly forecast  of property values estimates a loss in values this year of 13 percent &ndash; a  slight uptick from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/your-house-will-lose-12-value-in-2010-2010-2\">12% loss forecast at the beginning of the year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The average of four major nationwide  indexes measuring prices also continues to suggest we hover right around  a middle point of the total loss expected. Our current loss by the  average of four indexes from the peak in 2006\/2007 is 20 percent. The  total loss forecast by the blend of indexes is 33 percent.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.businessinsider.com\/image\/4bbf1fa47f8b9a0812180100\/mdw-13.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"mdw 13%\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The losses for this year projected in  the four indexes vary widely and range between 3 percent and 24 percent.  The indexes predicting large losses this year are biased by quicker and  deeper losses which they registered following the peak.
