The Ridgeline, although nice looking, always struck me as more of a car than a truly versatile truck. It did, and still does possess some pretty cool features. It was the first truck to incorporate an independent rear suspension, a unibody design and a tailgate that opened both like a car door and a traditional fold down pick-up style tailgate. Pickuptrucks.com has now reported that the Ridgeline may in fact be meeting its demise in 2012 due to languishing sales. When first released in 2005 Honda was hoping to sell 50,000 + units but alas, they fell far short of their goal. 2009 saw just 16,464 units sold, which in all honesty does not really warrant a refresh. Only time will tell, but I think the writing is on the wall for the Ridgeline.

Back in 2005 Honda decided to take a stab at the North American pick-up market with it’s new Ridgeline light duty truck.
