Thomas says there&#8217;s a lot of information in the news about the bill and he was hoping that we could just give the &quot;facts&quot; about the law.<\/p>\n<p>There are major provisions of the health care insurance bill that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthreform.gov\/reports\/keyprovisions.html\" title=\"HHS\n begin immediately\">begin immediately<\/a> but it is hard for me to tell you how the law will impact each of you without knowing your specific health insurance situation. Also keep in mind that some of the provisions will take the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/\" title=\"HHS.gov\">Department of Health &amp; Human Services<\/a> (HHS) four years to implement. <\/p>\n<p>What I have been able to do is put together a list of resources where you can begin to research how the law will affect you. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/\" title=\"White House\">White House<\/a> has set up separate web pages with frequently asked questions for people in different health insurance situations. I would suggest you start at the webpage with information on the situation that applies to you. Your choices are: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/health-care-meeting\/questions\/insurance-through-work\" title=\"Working Insured Information\">I have insurance through my work<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/health-care-meeting\/questions\/small-business\" title=\"Small Business Owners\">I own a small business<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/health-care-meeting\/questions\/medicare\" title=\"Medicare Questions\"> I have medicare<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/health-care-meeting\/questions\/buy-own-insurance\" title=\"People who buy insurance\">I buy my own insurance<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/health-care-meeting\/questions\/no-insurance\" title=\"don't have health insurance\">I do not have health insurance<\/a>. Second, our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.info.gov\/\" title=\"National Contact Center\">National Contact Center<\/a> created a web resource for our contact center agents that has a number of <a href=\"http:\/\/answers.usa.gov\/cgi-bin\/gsa_ict.cfg\/php\/enduser\/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8537\" title=\"Healthcare reform FAQ\">resources <\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><\/span>about the law. <\/p>\n<p>Finally, HHS has created <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthreform.gov\/index.html\" title=\"HealthCare Reform\">Healthreform.gov<\/a> where you can find information about implementation of the health care law.
