Downtown Los Angeles received just under an inch, and up to 2 inches fell on the Station fire burn areas in the foothills, although no mudslides were reported. <\/p>\n<p>Only light showers were expected Monday afternoon, said Jamie Meier, a meteorologist with the NWS in Oxnard. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe average rainfall for April is about an inch, so it\u2019s certainly not out of the question to see a storm like this,\u201d Meier said.<\/p>\n<p>No rain is expected for the remainder of the week, when temperatures are expected to hover below normal, barely reaching 70 degrees, Meier said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; Ching-Ching Ni<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scattered showers were expected to continue into Monday afternoon, and the rest of the week was looking dry, if on the cool side, according to the National Weather Service.
