{"id":525360,"date":"2010-04-12T19:35:15","date_gmt":"2010-04-12T23:35:15","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c630a53ef01347fd4839a970c"},"modified":"2010-04-12T19:34:37","modified_gmt":"2010-04-12T23:34:37","slug":"hundreds-of-pot-plants-seeds-seized-in-malibu-creek-state-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/525360","title":{"rendered":"Hundreds of pot plants, seeds seized in Malibu Creek State Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two men were arrested after authorities found hundreds of marijuana plants and seeds in a remote section of\u00a0Malibu Creek State Park in the\u00a0Santa Monica Mountains, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Arturo Molina, 37, of Van Nuys and Victor Magana, 23, a Mexican national, were booked Sunday on suspicion of\u00a0marijuana possession, possession of a concealed\u00a0firearm, and destruction of plants and geological features, said Darrell Readyhoff, a peace officers\u00a0supervisor with the California Department of Parks and Recreation.<\/p>\n<p>Park authorities were conducting a routine\u00a0search for possible\u00a0pot cultivation sites\u00a0in the park about 8 a.m. Sunday when they found the marijuana near Malibu Canyon and Piuma roads.<\/p>\n<p>Molina and Magana, who had been tending to the operation, fled the scene, Readyhoff said.
