The gigantic RV will be a mobile home for Shaprio, his wife, their two kids and two cats as the family treks from Alaska to the southernmost tip of South America before hopping a boat to Africa. Once there, they\u2019ll cross the Strait of Gibraltar into Europe before crossing Russia and Asia.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/04\/13\/ecoroamer_2_sAtCj_69.jpg\" alt=\"ecoroamer_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The vehicle uses a Ford F-650 chassis with 42-inch tires and a Caterpillar C7 engine that runs on biodiesel. The engine also ensures that if anything goes wrong Shaprio can find some help nearby. The engine produces 850lb-ft of torque. The vehicle also features solar panels on the roof that provide juice for all the auxiliary systems. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/04\/13\/ecoroamer_3_W4PSk_69.jpg\" alt=\"ecoroamer_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The interior apartments are made of bamboo and other recycled materials. Moreover, the RV features a suite of communication gear running through a Panasonic Toughbook with 3G and Wi-Fi.
