Of course, if you\u2019re like me, there\u2019s no need to wonder because you haven\u2019t even filed your taxes yet. There\u2019s still two more days!<\/p>\n<p>These days you don&#8217;t have to wonder about your <a href=\"http:\/\/answers.usa.gov\/cgi-bin\/gsa_ict.cfg\/php\/enduser\/std_adp.php?p_faqid=4124\" title=\"federal tax refund status\">federal tax refund status<\/a>. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/sa1.www4.irs.gov\/irfof\/lang\/en\/irfofgetstatus.jsp\" title=\"check the status of your federal tax return\">check the status of your federal tax return<\/a> on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\" title=\"IRS (Internal Revenue Service)\">IRS (Internal Revenue Service)<\/a> website. It\u2019s also possible to check the status of your return by phone by calling the IRS TeleTax System at 1-800-829-4477 or the IRS Refund Hotline at 1-800-829-1954.<\/p>\n<p>If you e-filed your taxes, your refund information is available about 72 hours after the IRS acknowledges receipt of your e-filed return.  If you mailed a paper return, it takes 3-4 weeks until the information is available.<\/p>\n<p>And as always be alert and don\u2019t fall for any <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/privacy\/article\/0,,id=179820,00.html\" title=\"tax refund scams or fraud\">tax refund scams or fraud<\/a>.
