{"id":526972,"date":"2010-04-14T04:45:10","date_gmt":"2010-04-14T08:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.vegan-food.net:\/\/ab449f5db0654a084c1871bb471225e6"},"modified":"2010-04-14T04:45:10","modified_gmt":"2010-04-14T08:45:10","slug":"sweet-potato-and-lentil-burgers-patties-legume","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/526972","title":{"rendered":"Sweet Potato and Lentil Burgers( Patties &#8211; Legume )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Daily Random Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><UL><br \/>\n<LI>1\/2 cup brown lentils<br \/>\n<LI>2-3 cups water<br \/>\n<LI>1 carrot<br \/>\n<LI>500 g \/ 1.1 lb sweet potato, peeled<br \/>\n<LI>1 onion, finely diced<br \/>\n<LI>2 t soy sauce (or tamari)<br \/>\n<LI>1 T tahini<br \/>\n<LI>2 T finely chopped fresh coriander, chives or parsley<br \/>\n<LI>Freshly ground black pepper<br \/>\n<LI>1 cup wheatgerm<br \/>\n<\/UL><\/ul>\n<p \/><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><br \/>Wash lentils thoroughly, cover with water and bring to the boil. Remove any foam that rises to the top and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until soft. Drain well.<br \/>\n\t<P>Boil carrot and sweet potato until soft. Drain well and mash. Add onion, soy sauce, tahini, herbs and pepper.<br \/>\n\t<P>Shape into round burgers and roll in wheatgerm.
