After nearly 13 years of marriage, King is calling it quits with Shawn Southwick &#8212; the mother of his two young sons, a rep for the star said this afternoon. Although Larry was accused of bedding his wife&#8217;s young sister in a report from The National Enquirer in 2009, in divorce papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, the veteran newsman counts only the ever-popular &#8220;irreconcilable differences&#8221; as the driving force behind the couple&#8217;s split. <span id=\"more-100636\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Larry&#8217;s major [concerns] are his kids and their well being,&#8221;<\/em> says a rep for the late-night giant.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn, who was treated for addiction to painkillers in 2008, filed dissolution of marriage papers of her on Wednesday, requesting primary custody of their kids, ages 9 and 11.<\/p>\n<p>King has been married to seven different women, but this is his eighth divorce, because he remarried former wife Alene Akins and then later divorced her a second time.<\/p>\n<p>King, 76, and Shawn, 50, wed in a hospital room, shortly before Larry had surgery to clear a clogged blood vessel, in 1997.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This just in: Larry King, host of CNN&#8217;s Larry King Live, has filed for divorce from his seventh wife.
