Two of the award-winners, <a href=\"http:\/\/people.fas.harvard.edu\/~amarbles\/\">Adam Marblestone<\/a>, a Ph.D. candidate in the Harvard Biophysics Program, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfa.harvard.edu\/~span\/\">Tony Pan<\/a>, a theoretical astrophysics Ph.D. candidate at Harvard, are among the 15 national winners.<\/p>\n<p>The award lasts up to five years of the recipients\u2019 for their graduate studies. Since 1963, the Hertz Foundation has provided the nation\u2019s most generous Ph.D. fellowships to more than 1,070 gifted applied scientists and engineers with the potential to change the world for the better.
