{"id":529129,"date":"2010-04-15T18:20:18","date_gmt":"2010-04-15T22:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"tag:consumerist.com,2010:\/\/1.10004616"},"modified":"2010-04-15T18:21:17","modified_gmt":"2010-04-15T22:21:17","slug":"famous-wrigley-rooftop-club-in-foreclosure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/529129","title":{"rendered":"Famous Wrigley Rooftop Club In Foreclosure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/consumerist.com\/assets_c\/2010\/04\/4-15-2010%206-00-27%20PM-thumb-350x224-39363.jpg\">         <\/p>\n<p>Your average Cub fan will, of course, be familiar with the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wrigley_Roof\">Wrigley Rooftop <\/a>that sports the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wrigley_Field#Rooftop_seats\">&#8220;Eamus Catuli&#8221;  sign,<\/a> but it seems the well-known rooftop is now in foreclosure. <\/p>\n<p>From Chicago Breaking News:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The building is known for featuring a sign in Latin that says &#8220;Eamus Catuli,&#8221; which translated means &#8220;Let&#8217;s go little bears.&#8221;  But the owners of the club were stripped of its control when a Cook County Circuit judge appointed a receiver earlier this month to take over operations.<br \/>\nFirst Personal Bank of Orland Park filed the suit in February seeking more than $2.7 million in principal and interest payments. The bank loaned the owners of Lakeview Baseball Club $2.8 million in 2006, and made a second loan of $350,000 a year later.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> CBN says that court papers show that the bank was &#8220;concerned&#8221; that &#8220;borrowers were diverting money from the club and using such funds for purposes unrelated to its operations.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>That doesn&#8217;t sound good. <\/p>\n<p>The Lakeview Baseball Club and other adjacent rooftops pay the Cubs 17% of their revenue for the right to sell rooftop seats. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobreakingbusiness.com\/2010\/04\/eamus-catuli-wrigley-rooftop-club-in-foreclosure.html\" >&#8216;Eamus Catuli&#8217; Wrigley rooftop club in foreclosure<\/a> [Chicago Breaking News]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your average Cub fan will, of course, be familiar with the Wrigley Rooftop that sports the &#8220;Eamus Catuli&#8221; sign, but it seems the well-known rooftop is now in foreclosure.
