The volcanic ash could linger in the atmosphere for <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/uk_news\/8621407.stm\">6 months<\/a> causing disruptions to travel in Europe throughout the time period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>This eruption isn&#8217;t likely to end today.<\/strong> Previous eruptions of the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano lasted for <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/uk_news\/8621407.stm\">12 months<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An Icelandic volcano eruption has been cited as a cause of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2010\/apr\/15\/iceland-volcano-weather-french-revolution\">French Revolution<\/a> as it covered much of Europe, killing many people in Iceland, and halting trade and hindering agriculture throughout Northern Europe<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Iceland&#8217;s tourism industry is set to be crushed by the volcano crisis, and with an economy already reeling from a banking crisis, it will be hard for the economy to handle a hit to an industry that accounts for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/news\/2010-04-15\/iceland-woes-go-skyward-as-volcano-erupts-on-island-s-recovery.html\">13.3% of the country&#8217;s export revenue<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>These ash clouds can help to reduce global warming by cooling the planet through reflecting sun light<\/strong>.
