Lovelace &#8212; who would become a feminist activist in her later years &#8212; is best remembered as the star of the X-rated epic <em>Deep Throat<\/em>, one of the few adult films to gain mainstream notority in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>Tina Yothers, of the &#8217;80s sitcom <em>Family Ties<\/em>, was cast as Lovelace in the Broadway production <em>Lovelace: The Musical<\/em>.
