However, respondents who were not affiliated with either party overwhelmingly supported the Texas representative, handing him a 47 percent to 28 percent edge over the president. <\/p>\n<p>Many political pundits believe that Paul&#8217;s resurgence into the national spotlight is, in part, due to the Tea Party movement, which continues to gain momentum.
