The teams have been sent from the agency\u2019s offices in Lanzhou and Chengdu in Sichuan and the neighbouring province of Gansu. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; layout-grid-mode: char; mso-pagination: widow-orphan;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; mso-font-kerning: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; layout-grid-mode: char; mso-pagination: widow-orphan;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; mso-font-kerning: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The teams will be distributing 2,000 blankets and 2,000 rolls of plastic sheeting for emergency shelter in Yushu County and Shiqu County in Sichuan. Poverty is the key reason why people are vulnerable to disasters and more likely to suffer during such events. To make matters worse, the high altitude and thin air of Yushu <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; mso-fareast-font-family: \u5b8b\u4f53; mso-font-kerning: 0pt; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN;\">County <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; mso-font-kerning: 0pt;\">has made rescue work difficult.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; layout-grid-mode: char; mso-pagination: widow-orphan;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; mso-font-kerning: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Arial;\">\u201cThe biting cold weather has also posed huge challenges. During this season, the temperature could drop to below zero.
