Some&nbsp;in the legislature have not heard the sound. As such, CCM returns to the&nbsp;state Capitol each year to argue for relief.<\/p>\n<p>Substitute House bill&nbsp;5255 would &#8220;allow towns to set their own fee levels for certain services to cover administrative costs&#8221; and &#8220;relieve towns from the requirement to remove and store the possessions of evicted residential tenants,&#8221; according to CCM.<\/p>\n<p>It would also &#8220;change property tax laws governing telecommunication towers and&nbsp;eliminate the requirement that towns post minutes on their websites &#8211; the minutes would still be available for public inspection.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s time for the state to deliver on mandates relief, and the finance committee can jump start this effort by reporting out&#8221; the bill, said&nbsp;James Finley, CCM&#8217;s CEO and chief lobbyist at the Capitol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s D-Day.
