{"id":534496,"date":"2010-04-19T13:51:50","date_gmt":"2010-04-19T17:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"9242 at http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com"},"modified":"2010-04-19T13:51:50","modified_gmt":"2010-04-19T17:51:50","slug":"android-ad-numbers-still-climbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/534496","title":{"rendered":"Android ad numbers still climbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rtecenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/sites\/androidcentral.com\/files\/articleimage\/Jerry%20Hildenbrand\/2010\/04\/millenial-media-ad-impressions.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"332\" class=\"lightbox2\" alt=\"millennial media report shows huge Android growth\" src=\"http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/sites\/androidcentral.com\/files\/articleimage\/Jerry%20Hildenbrand\/2010\/04\/millenial-media-ad-impressions.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"rteleft\">This morning Millennial Media, the largest independent mobile advertising platform, released the numbers from its monthly <em><strong>S<\/strong>corecard for <strong>M<\/strong>obile <strong>A<\/strong>dvertising <strong>R<\/strong>each and <strong>T<\/strong>argeting <\/em>(SMART).&nbsp; No surprises here &#8211; they are seeing big growth from the Android platform.&nbsp; Millennial Media reports that for the first time, Android OS is now in the top three in the <br \/>smartphone ad impressions numbers.&nbsp; Unlike AdMob, this is a third party mobile advertising company and has no ties to Google, who would be their competitor.&nbsp; Highlights from the report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Android impressions increased by 3% in March alone<\/li>\n<li>6% of all US Smartphone impressions for the month of March came from Android OS<\/li>\n<li>Globally, Android ad impressions have increased a staggering 72% month over month during a one year period.<\/li>\n<li>Manufactuers making Android handsets represent over 50% of the top 15 manufacturers, with Samsung at the number two spot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteleft\">Of course, the giants are still Apple and RIM, but with this kind of growth Android can&#8217;t be too far from grabbing the number 2 spot.&nbsp; I&#8217;m sure the release of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/search\/droid%20incredible\">Droid Incredible<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/search\/EVO%204G\">EVO 4G<\/a> will bump these numbers even higher.
