By starting a new streak in decisive fashion with a 17-1 win over Elgin Monday in St. Charles.<\/p>\n<p> In the five-inning victory the North Stars (11-2 overall, 4-1 in the Upstate Eight Conference) pounded out 16 hits, drew five walks and had one hit batter. <span\nid=\"more-29461\"><\/span>All but one player reached base successfully.<\/p>\n<p> Amanda Ciran picked up the win in the circle for North. After yielding two baserunners in the first inning, she let just three batters reach in the next four innings.<\/p>\n<p> Taylor Russell continued her hot streak, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Annie Korth was 3-for-3 with a walk, three doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Ashley Seering went 2-for-2 (walk, hit by pitch), scored three times and drove in two.
