The country&#8217;s problems are now spreading to <a href=\"http:\/\/ftalphaville.ft.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/21\/208701\/cds-report-greece-at-fresh-record-wides\/\">Portugal and Spain<\/a>, as the IMF and the EU continue to talk about the bailout package.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Senate Agriculture Committee moved in a bipartisan vote to require commercial banks, such as JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America, to <a href=\"http:\/\/preview.bloomberg.com\/news\/2010-04-21\/derivatives-bill-clears-senate-panel-that-would-force-swaps-desk-overhaul.html\">rid themselves of their swap desks<\/a><\/strong>. Industry officials feel this will limit the ability of commercial banks to lend to clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Republicans are beginning to waver in their opposition to Democratic Sen. Dodd&#8217;s financial reform bill, and are considering <a href=\"http:\/\/preview.bloomberg.com\/news\/2010-04-21\/dodd-says-many-republicans-want-to-support-his-financial-overhaul-measure.html\">moving away from their leadership<\/a> on the issue<\/strong>. Sen. Dodd is optimistic some Republicans will support the bill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The emerging economies of Brazil and India have joined the chorus of states calling for China to revalue its currency<\/strong>.
