{"id":542124,"date":"2010-04-23T15:08:05","date_gmt":"2010-04-23T19:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"tag:blogs.courant.com,2010:\/capitol_watch\/\/9.76643"},"modified":"2010-04-23T15:39:47","modified_gmt":"2010-04-23T19:39:47","slug":"lieberman-to-unveil-climate-bill-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/542124","title":{"rendered":"Lieberman to unveil climate bill Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Senator says he&#8217;s not worried about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/ap\/article\/ALeqM5hXsaP75FFV4rCOAaGuwn8FN1e1twD9F8DA301\">reports<\/a> that an immigration&nbsp;bill will derail&nbsp;the environmental legislation he helped craft.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think these are separate issues on separate legislative tracks,&#8221; Lieberman said&nbsp;in a conference call&nbsp;with Connecticut reporters this afternoon. &#8220;One will not adversely effect the other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lieberman said&nbsp;Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid&nbsp;assured him that he will bring the climate&nbsp;and energy bill to the floor, likely in late May or early June, barring any obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;bill,&nbsp;put together by Lieberman and Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and John Kerry, D-Mass., is seen by environmentalists as a&nbsp;major step in&nbsp;addressing&nbsp;global warming.
