{"id":542200,"date":"2010-04-21T18:45:42","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T22:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.personalliberty.com\/liberty\/vitamin-k-intake-linked-to-decreased-risk-of-non-hodgkin-lymphoma-2\/"},"modified":"2010-04-21T18:45:42","modified_gmt":"2010-04-21T22:45:42","slug":"vitamin-k-intake-linked-to-decreased-risk-of-non-hodgkin%c2%a0lymphoma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/542200","title":{"rendered":"Vitamin K Intake Linked To Decreased Risk Of Non-Hodgkin\u00a0Lymphoma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pictures.directnews.co.uk\/liveimages\/Vitamins_1961_19735187_0_0_7056832_300.jpg\" alt=\"Vitamin K intake linked to decreased risk of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma\" align=\"right\" class=\"post_image\">According to a new study recently presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, people who consume a diet rich in vitamin K may have a considerably decreased risk of developing Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.<\/p>\n<p>For the study, a research team from the Mayo Clinic recruited 603 newly diagnosed Non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients as well as 1,007 control participants and had them answer food questionnaires regarding their dietary intake two years prior to enrollment in the trial. <\/p>\n<p>Lead investigator James Cerhan and his colleagues found that respondents who had a vitamin K intake in the top quartile of the study had a 45 percent lower risk of being diagnosed with the disease compared to those in the bottom 25 percent.
