Ford Start Concept<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

FoMoCo confirmed that the new 1.0L 3-cylinder EcoBoost that made its debut at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show in the Start Concept is headed for production<\/a>. However, the automaker has not given a schedule as to when we might see it in vehicles.<\/p>\n

According to a Ford source, the timetable for a U.S. version will likely have to wait for the proper vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor North America, it is a ways off,\u201d said the source. \u201cIt certainly has been talked about to come here, but there is not a vehicle for it yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once vehicle that is under consideration for the U.S. market that could use the 3-cylinder EcoBoost is the next-generation Ka, which is currently sold in Europe.<\/p>\n
