{"id":545874,"date":"2010-04-28T09:44:34","date_gmt":"2010-04-28T13:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/climateprogress.org\/?p=23762"},"modified":"2010-04-28T09:44:34","modified_gmt":"2010-04-28T13:44:34","slug":"china-seals-oil-deals-map-of-china%e2%80%99s-major-overseas-oil-deals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/545874","title":{"rendered":"China seals oil deals &#8211; Map of China\u2019s major overseas oil deals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanprogress.org\/issues\/2010\/04\/oil_quench.html\">China\u2019s   oil demand<\/a> is projected to grow by 80 percent between 2010 and  2030  due to its rapidly developing economy and in particular its  growing  middle class and exploding auto market.<\/p>\n<p>CAP has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanprogress.org\/issues\/2010\/04\/china_oil_map.html\">new map<\/a> out showing where China is securing oil rights around the world.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-23762\"><\/span>China\u2019s largest national, government-owned oil companies\u2014CNPC, CNOOC,  and Sinopec\u2014have taken aggressive action over the last several years to  secure oil abroad in an effort to cope with this growth and a looming  global oil crunch. China\u2019s recent overseas oil deals have the potential  to deliver more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickensplan.com\/china\/\">7.8  billion barrels of oil<\/a> to the country over the next several years.<\/p>\n<p>This figure shows some of China\u2019s largest, most recent oil deals,  with a focus on 2009 and 2010 contracts.
