H. Stewart Parker<\/a>, the founder and longtime CEO of Seattle-based Targeted Genetics, has agreed<\/a> to join the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association as a part-time commercialization adviser to local life sciences researchers and entrepreneurs. Parker, who has inspired and mentored a generation of biotech professionals<\/a> in Seattle, resigned from Targeted Genetics in November 2008 after the company suffered a number of setbacks. In a December interview, she said she was itching to return to biotech<\/a>. “We are thrilled to have Stewart join us,” said WBBA president Chris Rivera, in a statement.<\/p>\n
