The funds are distributed under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.\u00a0 It is the latest of several large donations and grants in recent years for the research and teaching facility, whose construction began last September.\u00a0 The 266,400-square-foot Caruthers building is going up on CU-Boulder&#8217;s east campus, at Colorado Avenue and the Foothills Parkway.
