This might sound good for the environment, but when plugged in to sockets, these vehicles will put huge load on the grid. Designers over at Germany\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fraunhofer.de\/en\/index.jsp\">Fraunhofer<\/a> group have come up with an ingenious solution in the form of a station that charges your ride when there\u2019s power to spare.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dubbed the Smart Station, the system monitors grid load and then chooses a time when the load was minimum to charge the car\u2019s batteries.
