Winners of the award are honored for a career of \u201cdistinguished and sustained scholarship and research at the cutting-edge of cognitive neuroscience,\u201d and for \u201cextraordinary innovation and high impact on international scientific thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pinker, who conducts research on language and cognition, delivered the George A.
